Senator Russell Trood was the last Liberal and Coalition senator elected in the 2004 federal elections, giving the Howard government a majority in the Senate for the first time in over twenty years.

Committee Work

1. Senator Trood is a Member of the following committees and is Deputy Chair for the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade and Co-Chair for the Joint Standing Committee on the Parliamentary Library.
