IN CELEBRATION of the National Day of Older Australians, Ipswich residents can nominate older people who continue to be active and make a difference in the community.
 
More than 2 million Australians are over 70 years old.
 
Senator Russell Trood said older Australians have helped shape modern Australia and continue to make a significant contribution to society with their lifetime of skills, knowledge and experience.
 
Nominations are now open and close at the end of October. Nomination forms can be obtained by phoning 3372 4555 or anastasia.glushko@aph.gov.au.
