Queensland Senator Russell Trood has encouraged all Queenslanders to help care for creatures great and small by getting behind the RSPCA Cupcake Day.
Monday the 17th August is the time to don your chef’s hat and sell your homemade or store-bought cupcakes to your friends and family and help raise money for RSPCA Queensland. It is up to you what you charge. How about $2 or three for $5? You can even ask your company to match funds raised by you.
The Senator’s office will get involved by holding a cupcake stall at the Forest Lake Shopping Centre between 11 and 1:30pm, with all profits from the sales going to RSPCA.
RSPCA Queensland takes in over 40,000 animals every year. It has an operational budget of over $22 million annually, but receives only 2% of that amount in Government funding.
Whether you want to be an RSPCA Cupcake Cook or simply an RSPCA Cupcake eater - you will be supporting the thousands of animals RSPCA cares for everyday.
Register now – it’s easy and free! Once you have registered, a Cupcake Cook Kit with everything you need to promote your Cupcake Day will arrive in the post. For more information or to register visit
