AS the Senate prepares to welcome new senators, three more Liberals have farewelled the Upper House.
Senators Russell Trood, Judith Troeth and Guy Barnett made their valedictory speeches yesterday, declaring the work of Senate committees vital.
Senator Trood said he wanted Parliament to engage Africa more; Senator Troeth wanted women to increase female representation while Senator Barnett urged the chamber to watch the Australian Greens once they took over the Senate next month.
